SUCRE ‘Art Box’ Mooncake Gift Set (Limited edition)

Celebrate Mid Autumm Festival 2014 with SUCRE's limited edition ART BOX mooncake gift set. They are available from now till Sept 9 at Mid Autumn Festival Fair at Bugis Junction, fashion concept store, Made by Lauren Jasmine, and online at www.ruedusucre.com.

Truely a great gift for your loved one

With its playful geometrical shapes and bold colours that bring to mind an artist‟s paint board, SUCRE‟s ART BOX draws a link with the ‘palette’, a universal signifier of art which artists treasure and use as a value gauge and colour guide when creating their paintings.

“When a customer purchases a SUCRE mooncake set with its „palette‟ of shapes and hues, he or she also comes into ownership of a deeply valued „ART BOX‟,” explains Lucy Pek, founder of SUCRE, whose unique Lunar New Year creations were featured earlier this year by Package Design Magazine in the US.

Design studio KNACK was commissioned by SUCRE to create ART BOX, which is available in 1,000 limited edition keepsake sets this year. Set in bold pink, the ART BOX has a luxurious gold foil filigree on the top right hand border, adding significant visual weight to the box and communicating its premium quality. To its left, ART BOX features a quadrant lined with SUCRE‟s iconic orbs. SUCRE‟s trademark circular motif also appears on the cover of the ART BOX as a tactile design feature in the form of a large embossed pattern, the raised surface detail giving the box a textured feel upon handling. Each ART BOX is accompanied by a luxury paperbag in matt-black, topped off with a gold foil finishing that radiates like the rays of the sun.

Taste the traditional mooncake

This year, SUCRE, creator of gourmet pineapple truffles, goes back to the roots of good old-fashioned mooncake flavours for the Mid Autumn Festival, serving up White Lotus Seed Paste with Macadamia Nuts, White Lotus Seed Paste with Single Yolk, and others.

This Mid Autumn Festival‟s highlight flavour is a perennial favourite with a twist – the White Lotus Seed Paste with Melon Seeds and Dried Cherries. SUCRE‟s Chef Patissier has incorporated dried cherries in the mooncake, with the tartness of the dried cherries perfectly tempering the sweetness of the white lotus seed paste.

On their exterior, SUCRE‟s mooncakes have been specially crafted with the words „SUCRE‟ and „甜 聚’. Given that „甜’ means sweet while „聚’ refers to reunion, SUCRE mooncakes make for perfect gifts for loved ones and families during the Mid Autumn Festival, which is also known as a festival of reunion.
